About us
Meet Sherron and Shelley
Sherron Lewis, LMFT
Hi, I’m Sherron. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice in northern California. I specialize in individual and interpersonal conflict and personal development. My theoretical orientation is a blend of psychodynamic, attachment, and family systems theories. I’ve enjoyed conducting many workshops on a variety of topics relating to parenting, shame, and real-self expression and have co-authored three recent books with my colleague Shelley (and there are two more on the way!). I also have enjoyed being a free lance artist for the past 35 years.
The focal areas of my practice are: Individual, Couples and Family Therapy, Multi-level Intervention, and Clinical Consultation.
Shelley Stokes, PhD
Hi, I’m Shelley. I’m a clinical psychologist in private practice in northern California. I received my certification in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Masterson Institute in 1994 and have had a long-standing practice treating adults and families. I also have conducted many workshops and taught extensively on a variety of topics related to understanding and treating disorders of the self.
In addition to co-authoring three recent books with Sherron with additional ones on the way, my other past writings have included: “Disorders of the Self: Advances in diagnosis and treatment of borderline personality organization”; “Non-pathologic object use in the process of therapeutic change: Winnicott revisited”; “The culturally different patient in psychoanalytic psychotherapy”; and “An attachment-based, relational, multiple self-state approach to alcohol use in schizoid and in narcissistic disorders.”
You are invited to attend any of our upcoming workshops and we welcome any comments you may have on any of our books.
